It’s been an interesting week.
Every afternoon, without explanation, a mysterious visitor has arrived at my door, with a plain black box wrapped in plain ribbon.
Each day, the boxes have contained a fantastic present…some large, some small, some odd…but all unexpected.
And no. I’m not bragging about a secret admirer.
The presents are all related to the Courvoisier Revolutionary Spirit Festival, which has landed with a bang in London this week.
Courvoisier has long had a reputation for producing outstanding Cognac, but it seems that they’re now pushing boundaries when it comes to entertainment too. You see, this isn’t the kind of festival which will see Jay-Z headlining or have you sleeping in a tent (unless you want to). No. This is a festival with a difference. Members of the CVTF500 have put their heads together and come up with the most revolutionary ways to entertain Londoners this month…with food, drink and arty events lined up that are certain to guarantee you a summer of fun.
Events range from themed punch bars to epicurean extravaganzas with long term Courvoisier partners Bompas & Parr. Here is a brief run down of what you can get involved in;
- 13-24 July, Punchdrunk Theatre Company, Great Eastern Quay, Royal Albert Docks
- 14-18 July: Courvoisier presents the Complete History of Food with Bompas & Parr
- 16 July: Short & Sweet’s 3D Film Festival, Barbican:
- 16-17 July: The Big Treat, The Future Gallery:
- 17 July, What does your soul look like? The Future Gallery:
- 18-20 July, Monobrow, The Future Gallery:
- 22-25 July, Courvoisier at The Secret Garden Party, near Cambridge:
For more information about the events, please don’t hesitate to follow CVRS10 on Twitter where you will receive up to the minute details and get your hands on tickets to any of these unusual events.
