Our West End shows are the envy of the English speaking world. We host the most fabulous productions, in the most historical and stunning buildings such as the Gielgud Theatre. In recent months, we’ve seen Christian Slater, Daryl Hannah, Sir Ian McKellen and Kim Cattrell step on to our stages and blow the critics away, and who can forget Nicole Kidman and Daniel Radcliffe de-robing on stage in the name of art?
It’s not just Hollywood stars that light up our theatres. The West End is a breeding ground for British talent, and the popularity of Andrew Lloyd Webber’s programmes to find stars for productions such as Oliver!, The Sound of Music, Joseph and The Wizard of Oz show just how much we all love the theatre.
