Fight that Frizz!

For any of you that have never seen me, I have rather curly hair. I would like to describe it as beach-babe wavy, but truth be told, more often than not, it just resembles a bird’s nest. I am someone who cannot shampoo her hair without adding a ton of conditioner afterwards. Each time I buy a new shampoo I have to buy two conditioners to last the same amount of time otherwise my hair becomes more than a little flyaway. However, when my hair cooperates it is really  great, so when the lovely people at John Frieda offered to send me some products to help tame my tresses, I needed little convincing.

So, whilst preparing for an audition yesterday morning I hopped in the shower to get myself looking fabulous, wishing I had something to tame my hair. I assume the Postman can read my mind because just as the water hit me the door buzzer went. So I grabbed a towel and went to the door, complete with panda eyes and an apologetic look. My scantily clad look didn’t seem to phase our Postie (offended? YES!) so I politely took my mail and headed back into my flat. Hoping it was the Frizz-Ease stuff I was waiting for and this day being the perfect day for me to test how great they made me look, I opened the package right there in my front room, dropping my towel in the process. Needless to say, my curtains were open and at that exact moment the gardener decided to stroll past out window and have a good old nosey in. If this was an episode of Desperate Housewives I would have tried to seduce him, rather than fleeing to the safety of the bathroom, complete with frosted windows.

Now, I know you guys aren’t reading this for my stories, you want to know if John Frieda’s Frizz-Ease works. In this case I used the Curl Around Shampoo and Conditioner and in a word, yes it works. My hair no longer had that top layer of fluffy hair on top of the waves and all the waves were more defined. I also used Frizz-Ease Hair Serum (Original Formula) to keep my hair extra wavey and it made my hair feel healthy, as well as keeping the curls. You need more proof? I also got a recall for the audition and I put it all down to the hair (and my lucky shirt).

I was also lucky enough to try out Frizz-Ease’s Moisture Barrier Hair Spray when I got to the theatre and into hair and make up yesterday evening. It smells amazing and feels like it is doing my hair more good than just drying it out like other hairsprays. So, teamed with the professional smell of the shampoo and conditioner, I felt like I had been to the salon.

Why not give them a go? They are available from Boots and are really affordable! The Curl Around Style Activating Shampoo and Conditioner are currently £4.89 each (200ml) and the Hair Serum is £3.99 (25ml). Enjoy!

I took a bottle of the Frizz Ease extra strength with me to Cuba and it saved my hair from looking like a frizzball the entire holiday! Now I use the normal strength stuff if I want to wash and go and leave my hair to dry naturally without brushing it… (I know, I’m like stig of the dump) but actually it looks good sort of messy/wavy. I don’t know where I’d be without it. xx

No other product comes close! And trust me, i’ve tried more than a few. Even some salon products have had me walking out of the hairdressers and pulling on a large hat. Although that might have something to do with the ‘sylist’ rather than the product. Whilst leg warmers have been revived from the 80′s, frizzy hair hasn’t, and for that John Frieda I salute you.
