Dance With The Green Fairy At La Belle Epoque

Having in lived in London for a number of years now, I am always on the look out for new events to try my hand at and quite often end up going to fabulous bars or drinking delicious cocktails. I am not complaining, I love that London has so many of these venues to offer. However, every time a particular company drops an email into my inbox I get goosebumps and butterflies all at the same time because I know that, without exception, they are promoting one of the best themed nights I will attended EVER.

That might seem like quite a statement from someone who is out and about rather a lot, but I completely stand by what you just read. In fact, I challenge you to go to one of their events and disagree. By now you must be wondering the sort of events I am referring to? Well, here goes…

Ladies and Gentlemen, I present to you: La Belle Epoque.

Hidden within a quieter part of town, this unique night perfectly entwines elegance with debauchery, to bring you a seductive party right here in the heart of London. Ladies, dig out your corsets and gentlemen, don your top hats for a bohemian night of acrobatics, live music and absinthe. Feel free to casually drape yourself along the balconies of the music hall to view the aerial acrobatics closer, take a seat at a sophisticated table or get up close and personal on the dancefloor, all whilst enjoying some of our most favourite modern songs performed by a live swing band. If the absinthe fuelled cocktails don’t, the can-can dancers will have everyone out of their seats and ready to party. With tickets just £20 you will not be disappointed as you are plunged deep into the heart of Paris’ red light district on Saturday 25th September 2010 in Shoreditch. Having experienced it myself, I can assure you that you will be wowed throughout the night by performers, acrobats, cocktails and music. So, what are you waiting for? Get booking and embrace La Belle Epoque firmly, with both hands.

If you would rather keep things a little more subtle, then why not head on over to the SS Atlantica on Saturday 11th September 2010. This is an evening of pure elegance where you are given permission to board and enjoy live music, floorshows and casino games. The dress code is silver screen meets Agatha Christie, with dinner suits and fur aplenty. For those who get sea sick you are free to step on shore at earlier intervals, however for those who already have their sea legs can dance the night away until the early hours. So whether you are 1st class or steerage, come and enjoy this ‘champagne sodden’ voyage back in time. To book tickets, click here.
