It’s International Women’s Day…
And so it blooming well should be. Women are fabulous. Tall ones, short ones, big ones, small ones, funny ones, quiet ones, smart ones and well…not so smart ones. We’re all bloody marvellous and I am loving the fact that today we are being celebrated all over the world!
I think we should go out of our way to let all those boys know…
And once you’ve made hem men in your life buy you lunch and spoil you rotten, why not get the girls together later and hot the town for some cocktails to celebrate…or even better stay in and make your own! Here’s a delicious recipe or 2 for you to start you off;
The Melangé:
- 50 ml / 1.7 fl oz Russian Standard
- 60 g / 2 oz Dog Rose Preserves
- 15 ml / 0.5 oz Lime Juice
Shake ingredients vigorously over ice. Double-strain and pour into a chilled cocktail glass. Garnish with an orchid flower and serve immediately. Yum…
Siberian Sunrise:
- 35 ml/1.2 fl oz (7 parts) Russian Standard
- 25 ml/0.8 fl oz (5 parts) of Lime Juice
- 1 tsp. sugar
Blend with ice and pour into a chilled cocktail glass. Garnish with a slice of lime. ENJOY!
