What they Say : Using latest technology, Oral-B’s top of the range rechargeable toothbrush now has a wireless interactive display that delivers instant while-you-brush feedback. This smart innovation, combined with Oral-B’s outstanding cleaning performance, helps you to brush gently, thoroughly and for the recommended amount of time. Oral-B PC Triumph 5000 works by using microchips embedded in the brush head and handle to monitor brushing activity to provide real-time guidance of your oral care routine via the wireless digital display. This display helps to guide you through your tooth brushing routine, quadrant by quadrant, over a two minute period to promote optimised brushing habits. It helps prevent common problems such as brushing too hard, not brushing for long enough and unequal brushing.

What I say : It feels a little bit strange to say that at 31 years old, this is the first electric toothbrush I’ve used, but it’s true. I have always been a good old manual toothbrush girl…until now. OK, so maybe I’m lucky as I’ve been introduced to this whole electric tooth cleaning thing by the best product on the market (dentists recommend it) but it really is good. Not only do my teeth feel cleaner & look whiter, but it made me realise that I wasn’t brushing my teeth for nearly long enough – I was in fact brushing for about a minute rather than the recommended two. I thought that it would feel a bit weird, or even hurt my gums, but not at all – the unit is even pressure sensitive so you can tell when you are brushing too hard, thus helping to protect your gums. Overall verdict? Not cheap – but it works, and I like.

Score: An impressive 8/10 (would be more if it was less money!)

Price: £159.99 from retailers like Argos
