Plans for 2012.

I just had an extremely pleasant, and very interesting meeting with a lovely PR contact with whom I hope to work with a lot more in 2012. We discussed relevant clients, forthcoming projects, and what TLLWTL has in store for the New Year.

I didn’t realise until I had to say it out loud, just how many plans we’d made.

So here, as a small oversight, are some of the things we plan to add/reinstate/do over the next twelve months.

Go back to basics. TLLWTL started out as a Blog, became a Blog with Reviews, but is now primarily a review site. That wasn’t the plan. We will be writing more personal posts, including opinion pieces and talking about what we love and what affects us much more again. This excites me.
The reviews we write will be more balanced. Yes, we will still only write about the places we think you SHOULD visit, but we’ll explore the negatives (if there are any) a bit more too.
We will encourage more and more contributions. We want to hear YOUR stories about London – where you’ve had fun, which venues you recommend and more. If you’ve been somewhere we write about and agree – or disagree – please comment. We want all our readers to get a balanced and informed view – and contributions from our community are important!
FASHION. I’m bringing it back, baby. I miss writing about the latest trends, Designer must-haves and high-street bargains.
Competitions. We’ll bring you relevant, exciting and desirable competition prizes again – at least once a month. We like giving you things for nothing. It makes us happy.
LONDON-FOR-LESS. It’s coming back. Deals, Bargains, Surprises, Hidden Gems, Sample Sales. They’ll all be here.
Tried and Tested. We’ll be sending the team to test products, boot camps, experiences – all so you can make the wisest and most informed decisions about where to spend your valuable money – and time.
Location posts. Yes, we still love London. But it’s a big world out there. We’ll be bringing you city guides, tips and secrets about our other favourite places in the UK, and worldwide.
Top 5′s. We know a lot about this City. We’ve been visited, reviewing and generally hanging out at the greatest places London has to offer for YEARS (yes, we’re that old). We’ll be packing the information we’ve gleaned into teeny, weeny bite size chunks so that you can digest them easily. Want to know where’s best for afternoon tea? We’ll tell you. Best brunch? We’ve got it. Top Club on a Wednesday? It’ll all be here.
More, better, clearer, original images. We’ve been a bit slack here. We want to show you exactly what we see, from now on. So expect heaps of images to illustrate our points.
Detail. We will find out as much as we can about the places we visit. Who designed that amazing interior? Where did that Chef train? Who designed the dress she was wearing? We’ll try our best to tell you.
Interviews. We are launching (VERY soon!) one of our favourite new features – OUR LONDON. We will be speaking to well known personalities, celebrities, VIPs, inspirational characters, motivators – and asking them to describe to us their favourite parts of this amazing City. You’ll find out things you never knew and get an insight into what makes the people we admire tick. Exciting.
#PERVPOST. Of course. We will, under great duress of course, be continuing with the extremely popular #pervposts we recently introduced. So please, do feel free to send us your suggestions for this highly intellectual feature at any point. Any if you don’t know what we’re talking about – check out this or this. You’re welcome.
News. At the start of the week, we’ll be doing a round up of our favourite news from the week past, and bringing you news of what’s coming in the week ahead. Parties, launches, gigs, excitement – we’ll include as much as we can find out.
WE LOVE: Snapshots of products, people, buildings, ANYTHING we love about this City. All in a pocket sized post of loveliness we hope will make you smile.

So there it is. The outline of our 2012, laid out in all its glory. We know some ideas may not happen, and that many that don’t yet appear on this list, will. There will also be networking events, tweet ups, and hopefully a party or two along the way too…in the spirit of TLLWTL…and our love of wine!

I’m open to suggestion, comment and contribution. In short, I just want to make this the best TLLWTL year yet.
