As we pulled up to Langshott Manor, we saw a beautiful Country House – the kind of place that should be secluded miles away from anywhere, not in the shadow of Gatwick Airport.
We’d booked into Langshott Manor for the night before our holiday. Rather than opting for one of the standard chain hotels, we had been advised to check out this gem, which is located just 2 miles from the airport, but feels like a million miles away.
On arrival, we were greeted by a lovely, smiling Receptionist, who led us to our room – all of which are named after castles, gardens and racecourses in the local area, or after King Henry VIII and his six wives – which gives an additional feel of history and Grandeur.
We were immediately impressed with our room. It was spacious, with the added benefit of our own patio area, which overlooked the Hotels expansive and pristine main gardens. We also loved the modern yet traditional decor, huge fireplace and the immaculate bathroom – which was luxuriously appointed with big bath, walk in shower, double sinks – and was absolutely spotless (an absolute essential for me).
Breakfast was included with our overnight stay and we were very happy with the huge selection on offer and would rate the service as 10/10 – this is a place that clearly puts a high emphasis on Customer Satisfaction, and all of the staff we encountered were great.
An added bonus was that we were able to leave the car here for the week we were away, which made a huge difference as we didn’t need to worry about sourcing a car parking space or paying ridiculous fee’s at the airport. Over-all, this was the most relaxing start to our holiday we could have wished for. No early morning rushing through traffic with the worry of missing the flight, a beautiful location, great service and a mere 2 miles from the airport. We would definitely recommend Langshott Manor as a pre-holiday stop-over…or just for a treat. It’s lovely.
