Those of you who have been reading TLLWTL for a while now will know that I’m a big old softie at heart. And those of you who know me in real life know there’s nothing I like better than a big old squeeze from a friend. I love hugs. I’m a hugging queen. But apparently, there’s a huge hug shortage out there…and quite frankly, this will never do.
Being close to people is human nature. It feels amazing to be wrapped up in someone’s arms when you haven’t seen them for a while, or when you’ve had a bad day, or…well…just because. However, now that most of us conduct our relationships with friends and family via facebook, twitter, email and text, we may not have as much physical contact as we really need.
That’s why we love Nivea‘s initiative to get us all that little bit more touchy feely - A Million Moments of Closeness. To celebrate their 100th birthday, Nivea are encouraging us to prove we are still a nation who love to be close and record those moments for all to see, and giving away 100 prizes worth £100 too!
To win, you just need to click here and head over to the Nivea Facebook page, where you will find the online photo gallery for a Million Moments of Closeness. Then, all you have to do is upload a photo of you with a friend, lover, sibling, baby, parent, child….and Professor Geoff Beattie will choose the photo of the day. That winner will be one of the lucky recipients of the great prizes listed here. Lovely! You can also check out all the other photos that have been submitted so far, and they really are very moving.
