Atul Kochhar was the first Indian Chef to be awarded a Michelin Star, way back in 2001 when he was at Tamarind and just 31 years old.
Since then, he has created world renowned restaurant Benares in Mayfair, and has been instrumental in changing the way we see Indian Food. His extraordinary culinary talents were again recognised in 2007, when he gained his second Michelin star.
Now, for 4 weeks only (4th – 28th May 2011), Atul is taking over Meza on Wardour Street with a Pop-Up restaurant to rival all others. Dishes on the menu will include Rajasthani crisp okra with harrisa mayonnaise; Goan goat koftas with lavender and peanut honey; Kashmiri style lamb Roganjosh and potato and ginger cakes, Punjabi chickpeas & tamarind. Meza’s decor will be completely transformed using ambient lighting and beautiful soft silks.
We’re visiting on the 4th May, and we cannot wait!
