You won’t often see me in a pair of jeans.
It’s not because I don’t like them. I do. I’m totally jealous of anyone who can just walk into a High Street store and walk out with a pair of jeans that suits them. After all these years (32 to be precise), I am still scrabbling around looking for the perfect pair.
But by jove, I think I may be onto something. We were recently invited in to preview the A/W collection from MiH, the luxury jeans brand that was established back in 1969 (right here in London), and was recently relaunched by the God-daughter of the original owner, Chloe Lonsdale.
I’m not joking when I tell you I fell in love with every single piece. EVERY PIECE. And there were a lot of them. From soft T-Shirts, to Shearling lined jackets, beautiful leather and a Tuxedo jacket to die for, this collection is gorgeous, wearable and the kind of garments that every single one of your friends would be trying to borrow.
And I haven’t even mentioned the stars of the show yet – the jeans.
There really is something for everyone, of every shape – but the two absolute stand-outs for me were the Marrakesh (mid-rise, kick flare), that has been seen on everyone from Claudia Schiffer to Katie Holmes and the new Milan (column leg) which I think will be the absolute star of next season. Add in the Oslo (slim leg) and you pretty much have your jean wardrobe sorted for life, but you could throw in a few other styles for good measure – they’re all great.
Other celebrity fans include Jessica Alba, Sarah Jessica Parker, Leighton Meester and Kate Bosworth, so you’ll be in pretty stylish company wearing a pair of these babies.
