I love Dim Sum. Like, really love it. Many of my favourite dates have been spent tucking into a selection of buns and dumplings…and no…that’s not a euphemism.
So I was excited to hear about the opening of new Dim Sum takeaway restaurant NOW just outside Liverpool Street. It’s in the perfect location for busy workers to run in and grab a bite for lunch…but the question is…is it any good?
The answer is yes. It really is. I popped in after a busy morning of meetings and was pleasantly surprised by the selection of treats available – for lunch there is a fantastic selection of dim sum including all your favourites (I particularly recommend the sticky pork buns) – but they also serve breakfast specialities for the early starters, soups, rice pots, great sides such as duck rolls and crispy pork balls, and a mouth wateringly good selection of sweet pastries and puddings too. YUM.
What I particularly liked is that hot meals are packed in clever little baskets that keep your dim sum warm if you’re taking them back to your desk – or if you’re not in a rush you can grab one of the 10 seats in the venue and watch the world go by as you enjoy a delicious meal.
NOW is the newest addition to the Ping Pong group and I think it’s a fantastic idea in a fabulous location. Also, everything is under £5 so it definitely won’t break the bank. I’ll definitely be heading back whenever I’m in the area and need to grab a bite to eat. My kind of fast food!
