I am a big fan of being cosy in winter. The more layers the better in my book, and I am a sucker for hats, gloves, scarves, legwarmers – the lot!
One of my favourite recent finds for such goodies is HUMM Peruvian Knitwear – a fabulous online boutique packed full of chic Alpaca products, perfect for keeping you warm in this weather. The company’s founder, Amanda Ruiz, married a Peruvian and was so impressed by the gorgeous knitwear she discovered in the country, she decided to share the love with us back in England.
Alpaca is a fibre world renowned for being insulating, lightweight, and as soft and smooth as cashmere and angora. Best of all, it doesn’t bobble or pill, and looks great. And when I say it’s cosy, I mean it. Dog walks would be horrendous without my Chullo Inca Hat!
As well as the more classic designs available (for women, men, kids and home), Amanda has also collaborated with Brandon Mably, Manager of the Kaffe Fasset Studio, who is known as the “Master of Colour” when it comes to knitwear. Brandon has designed some stunning exclusives for HUMM, with some beautiful designs that will bring a much needed injection of brightness into your Winter wardrobe.
