The weather outside has been pretty diabolical this week. Enough to make anyone a little bit miserable. Add to that the birthday hangover, aching muscles (from too much partying) and a hot young thing to look pretty for, and I don’t think I’d ever needed pampering more.
Luckily for me, the gorgeous Rosie at the Nougat Boutique Spa on Westbourne Grove was on hand to help.
I was booked in for Nougat’s “Perfect 10″ treatment, which was devised to celebrate the company’s 10th Birthday. It’s a great concept – they combine 10 of their most luxurious products in one treatment, to leave you feeling, well, a perfect 10!
The first thing that you notice about the boutique is how cute it is. The idea is a good one – Nougat is a boutique and spa combined, selling some beautiful clothes alongside their signature range of products, with treatment rooms tucked discretely away downstairs.
The second thing you notice, is how lovely Rosie is. Full of warmth and knowledge – chatty but not overly so. As we discussed the treatment she was so enthusiastic about the products and how good the end results would be, I automatically felt positive and there was a great energy in the room.
The treatment itself was incredible. There are various stages, including a hand scrub, foot scrub, full body scrub, shower, moisturise, back massage and finally, a seriously soothing temple rub. The products used all felt and smelt divine (I had chosen Fig and Pink Cedar over Tuberose and Jasmine, but both were lovely). One of my favourite parts was the massage, as Rosie used wax from one of Nougat’s candles, which was a completely new experience to me but felt heavenly.
I emerged from the treatment feeling phenomenal. Every part of me was soft and glowing, I smelt great and I was blissed out and calm. They even give you the 10th product (a bath truffle) to take home absolutely free. On my way out I picked out some extra products to take home so that I could try and recreate the experience – it really is that good.
