Competition Time! Oktoberfest – The Bavarian Way

As we all know, the team over at TLLWTL like to have a drink or two. Yep, I’ll hold my hands up and say I love to go and drink cocktails at fancy bars and delicately pick my way through tiny portions of food on silver serving trays, but what I love more than anything is just a good old fashioned beer. It felt like such a long time since I had been for a simple pint in a pub and my northern roots were craving it. So I jumped at the chance to visit The Bavarian Beer House and quench my thirst.

The Bavarian Beerhouse is the UK’s only authentic German/Bavarian Restaurant, serving giant beers (Steins) and good old fashioned Bavarian food. (When I say giant, I literally do mean they are massive. I have to use two hands to hold the huge beers, but can manage their shots of Jaeger with just one hand. The hangover was managed with my head held in both hands and the sofa.) There has been one beerhouse in Old Street since 2005, however we suggest you check out the brand new venue opened in Tower Hill. With it’s beer-hall style layout, delicious grub and waitresses in traditional (boob revealing) costumes it is a fun and relaxed environment which has the balance of an afterwork drink and party location entwined perfectly.

And if you need even more convincing, for the 7th year in a row they are celebrating Munich’s Oktoberfest in style, with a lengthy 8 weeks of partying! Not only will you be able drink and eat to your hearts content, but they are flying in Oompah bands especially for the occasion. Tickets must be booked in advance and cost only £14.50 for a fantastic night of debauchery and, of course, beer!

So for all of you who, like me, have always wanted to hop over to Munich for this boozey festival but can’t fit it in with your hectic schedule, this is the venue for you. To make this even more appealing for you This Little Lady have managed to score a pair of free tickets for the night of  Wednesday 22nd September 2010. The wonderfully generous Bavarian Beerhouse will also throw in 2 free Steins of beer for our lucky winners! (They’re the massive beers I was talking about earlier and pictured above. Yes that’s me. Terms and Conditions:

1. The prize is to be claimed at the Old Street Bavarian Beer House. Click here for a map. Address: 190 City Road, London EC1V 2QH. The nearest tube is Old Street (Exit 8).

2. The prize is non transferrable and must be claimed on the date stated. If the winner does not turn up on 22nd September 2010 to the Old Street venue they have waived their ticket.

3. There are no physical tickets. The winner will be placed on a guest list with a special code word so no one else can claim your prize.

4. Competition closes on Tuesday 16th September 2010 at 10am and a winner will be announced shortly afterwards.

5. The venue reserve the right to refuse entry to anyone and This Little Lady Went To London reserve the right to cancel a competition at any point.
