Could not be more sorry to hear about the raging fire that consumed East London nightclub Sosho yesterday. Reports from this morning said that fireman were still dealing with the blaze, over 24 hours on.
Sosho was the scene of many a naughty night out over the years and holds a lot of good memories for me and my friends. Nights such as Retox were legendary.
The venue has suffered fierce criticism over the last year after a motorbike rider opened fire on clubbers leaving Sosho in a bizarre drive by shooting; luckily no-one was hurt but the club was temporarily closed last December.
However, despite this incident, Sosho (and members club East Room upstairs) were hugely popular and will be missed by the East London party crowd.
Luckily, there were no reports of any casualties.
