Indian Spring Has Sprung

Indian Spring Has Sprung

Hi, my name’s Angharad and I’m addicted to…all things Indian. Not just the food (although I’ve just learned to make kick-ass tandoori salmon); I am also obsessed with Indian clothes, jewellery, ornaments and artwork. My bedroom looks a little like it aspires to be a scene from the Ramayana, with Indian prints on the walls and a Rajasthani rug which I think of affectionately as my Magic Carpet (there’s a little bit of Disney in everyone). As you can imagine, I am therefore pretty excited whenever there is an Indian …

This Little Lady Has Found The Perfect Shoe!

I love shoes.
I know that almost every girl says that but, I really seriously love shoes.   I have a walk in wardrobe full of pretty peep toes, sexy sling backs, amazing animal print, suede, leather, flip flops….  the list goes on and on and on and on
I also have a problem with shoes.
Well actually, it is not so much a problem with the shoes – it is more of a problem with the outfits and handbags where I still haven’t been able to find the perfect pair of shoes to …

This little lady went to cupcake heaven, by Lorns

This little lady went cupcake mad…
I never win anything. Tell a lie, I did once win a talent show at Butlins when I was 7. I sang a rather inappropriate version of ‘where the boys are’ on the main stage and cried with joy when I was announced the winner. I was invited back for finals week to take part in the competition with all the other winners from the summer season. I was so excited when October came around. Then the law of sod struck and I …

Everyone’s doing it….are you?

Blogging is officially cool. Everyone’s doing it – from famous bloggers like Belle de Jour and quirky fashion types to little unknowns who want to have a say in the world. I suppose I would say this because I’m a blogger myself  - I write a dating blog at  http://thelovesandlifeofalondongirl.blogspot.com and can be found on twitter @LovesofaLDNgirl  – tweeting about my various dating disasters too.
But if you don’t believe me about how cool blogging has become then go pick yourself up a copy of the latest Company magazine (April issue). They’ve …

Changes…

If nothing ever changed, there’d be no butterflies. (Author Unknown)

The last few weeks have been ripe with change.
The boy and I are making that difficult transition from being two single people, to one co-habiting couple. The quietness of the suburbs is a distant memory and reintroduction into life in London has been swift thanks to one flashing incident (not pretty) and a pick-pocket. Not in my top ten reasons for loving London…but it certainly makes life interesting.
I have also left behind a lot of friends, and I don’t just …

Please Battersea, can I have some more? Oh wait, you’ve taken care of everything!

Please Battersea, can I have some more? Oh wait, you’ve taken care of everything!

For anyone following myself (@teenytinyleanne) or @mrmcbear in the wonderful world of Twitter you shall know about the new addition at Chez Bearbury. No, don’t panic Mum, we won’t be hearing the pitter patter of tiny feet anytime soon. Actually that is a blatant lie, we will be hearing teeny tiny kitty feet from our new kitty, Oliver.
This might seem like an incredibly predictive blog, after all I am simply in love with the little critter already and everytime he so much as blinks I rush to his aid in …

DIU Launch

Last night, the Boy and I had the pleasure of checking out brand new Greek Street venue, DIU.
DIU is the latest boutique nightclub to hit the Central London scene and it’s got all the signs of being a huge success. The interior is impossibly glamorous; a warren of small, interconnected rooms that you enter through hidden mirrored doors and benched corridors. The decor is eclectic – modern green glowing tables contrasting with a huge, sparkling chandelier hanging above. Rooms full of vibrant green lasers, boat-like wooden panelling topped with a …

“I loathe the bus. There has to be a more dignified form of transport.”

“I loathe the bus. There has to be a more dignified form of transport.”

I love how iconic it is, but as a mode of transport I hate the bus. Seriously, I LOATHE travelling on the bus. I hate the fact I fall over or even off my chair when we go round corners. I hate the fact that I have to cling on to the clammy pole to stop myself from doing so and I detest the fact that it always makes me drop my chips after a night out. Sauce side down, naturally. Well, my friend, I am here to help as …

Well hello there, Mr Sunshine!

Well hello there, Mr Sunshine!

Wowza, I did not expect that when I opened the front door this morning. I was in a bit of a rubbish mood when I first woke up. I don’t like getting up early, I don’t like having to wade through boxes after you have moved house and I don’t like feeling unprepared for an audition. Today presented me with all three of these things. I clumsily searched through lots of boxes, some of which are tall enough for me to stand upright in, woke Mr McBear from his slumber …
