I seem to be in a fundraising state of mind at the moment. I’m not complaining. Its one of my very favourite states of mind. Much better than some of the others…
I will be getting detail of the fabulous party I’m organising in aid of Breast Cancer Care and Macmillan Nurses out to everyone very, very soon…but for now I’m concentrating on another fabulous cause.
This Friday (2nd October) is Jeans for Genes day. If you don’t already know about this annual event, please take a look at their wonderful website which will fill you in on all the details – but in short – its a brilliantly simple way to raise money for kids born with genetic disorders. You wear your jeans to work, donate just £2 and the charity benefits. Plus you don’t have to change outfits to go to the pub when 5 o’clock comes. Ace.
So…I thought I’d share a couple of fabulous ideas for how you can participate 
First of all – if you’re in the mood for treating yourself, check out beautiful jeweller Allumer. I absolutely love their designs, and they have created a special collection on behalf of Jeans for Genes, with £10 from the sale of each item going to the Charity. Yay for Allumer!
Or, if you just fancy getting yourself a gorgeous new pair of jeans to wear this Friday, take a look at British brand MiH. They’re already seen on the beautiful booty’s of Jessica Alba, Kate Hudson, Liv Tyler, Rhianna, Natalie Portman and Kate Bosworth, so its safe to say you’ll be in good company! They have loads of fab shapes so you’re bound to find a style that suits you.
At the bare minimum – please try to convince your Boss to let you wear denim on Friday – it’s a fantastic cause and one well worth supporting.
