Selfridges has always been my favourite department store in London. I have some amazing memories there, from times in days gone by when I didn’t have to look at price tags (seems like a lifetime ago now…), to days spent mooching and lunching and drinking with the girls, having make overs, buying that killer outfit, those stunning heels, or a gift for someone special.
It was always the place I’d run to between meetings, or where I arrange to catch up with people when they’re in London. I’ve spent way too many ££’s there over the last 10 years but I don’t begrudge them a penny….In fact I’m sure I’ll spend a few too many more in the next decade…
It’s a place that never fails to me me smile when I walk in – through that first door next to the LV and Gucci sections. A place steeped in history and happiness. So it seems only fair to say a big old Happy 100th Birthday to the lovely old place in its own little blog post!
They have loads of lovely stuff happening in store throughout the month of May, from Gay Bingo & Cabaret to Live Music Acts & Fashion Shows. There are also limited edition products available from top Designers including Marc Jacobs and Ralph Lauren, and the iconic
shopping bag has had a makeover by fashion superstars such as Dame Vivienne Westwood.
Visit the website or visit the store to get involved. They’re even offering 2 hours free parking throughout the month of May – blooming marvellous. Here’s to another hundred years!!
